Building an internal marketing function
CO3 Technologies, a B2B SaaS company in Durban, South Africa, wanted to move away from external marketing consultants and build their own internal marketing team. Firejuice partnered with them to provide the support and training needed for this transition.
Our work included helping CO3 restructure their marketing department. This involved redefining roles and responsibilities, such as shifting the focus of the Head of Sales and Marketing role solely to sales and elevating a team member to the new Head of Marketing position. We also helped streamline reporting structures to improve communication and workflow. In addition, we guided them in redesigning their website to achieve a stronger online presence with clearer messaging and improved content.
A key part of our partnership was developing a comprehensive marketing operations strategy document and providing ongoing training and mentorship to the CO3 team. This empowered them to confidently manage various marketing functions like social media, content creation, and email marketing themselves. Ultimately, CO3 Technologies successfully established clear marketing objectives, developed a detailed marketing operations plan, and significantly reduced their reliance on external consultants.
